Extracting
data from SAP can be done in a variety of ways. Most common methods include
the use of a custom built report or program that was created for a specific
requirement. Although this SAP extraction method allows for quick access to
data in the SAP system, it does not provide any flexibility to the end user
if the requirements change. An alternative option is to use the in-built tools
that SAP provides out of the box (e.g. ABAP query). These tools are not geared
towards the end-user and most require extensive training and additional authorizations
before they can be put to good use.
Quadrate's R/3 extraction solution for SAP data provides a simple and easy to use method for performing ad-hoc queries against an SAP system without any programming expertise. Qubed allows the creation of complex data queries across multiple tables and all SAP tables, both standard and custom tables are available to the user. Data can be extracted into end-user friendly formats such as Excel and Access.
Qubed is a powerful SAP reporting application that allows end-users to generate enterprise reports for employees, customers and business partners. Qubed enables developers and end users alike to create, distribute and maintain content-rich SAP reports rapidly and easily. The extensive report writing functionality allows users to create complex business reports in minutes, and reports may be exported in several formats including Excel, TIFF, PDF and HTML. The report writer enables the creation of calculated columns, subtotals, grouping of data and insertion of graphics.
Simple 3 Steps Process
The procedure to upload Excel or Access files into SAP is a simple three step
process designed for even the most inexperienced of end-users. The user records the transaction by executing it from within ERP^(2).
Once the recording is complete an Excel or Access file is automatically created for the user to add the data to upload. The final and
simplest step in the process is to return to ERP^(2) and select the file to upload the data.

Automatic Load File Generation
While navigating between SAP's
transaction screens, ERP^(2) does automatic mapping between spreadsheets/databases to fields automatically and a load file will be
generated for mass data upload.
Error Handling
Simple to understand error handling separates the records that failed,
facilitating quick corrections and upload procedures. User can take advantage
of the step-through function where graphical view of every screens that
Quadrate goes through to upload data will be displayed for diagnosis purpose.
Report Generation
Report can be generated as printer output or HTML file for audit purpose.
Summary report displayed an overall success and error rate for each transaction
and ROI summary in form of time saved by Quadrate's ERP2.
